For the organized one in the family

The Weekend Family Binder

The map your family would need, done in one weekend.

An emergency and end-of-life binder. Printable and fillable.

See what's inside and the price

You fill it in once, over one weekend, with help on every page. Then, if something happened to you tomorrow, your family would know who to call, where the money is, how to get into your phone, and what you wanted.

  • Your family knows who to call, and where every account and policy is
  • Nobody is locked out of your phone or email, and no password is written in the binder
  • Your grown children won't spend months searching drawers, and the bills keep getting paid
  • 56 pages, short on purpose. The part that matters most takes 90 minutes

How it works

Check out securely. Your download buttons appear the moment you've paid, and you can bookmark the page to download again later.

Start with the 90-Minute Quick Start. Then fill in the rest over a weekend, with a pen or on screen: each section says how long it takes, and where to find what it asks for.

When you're done, seal the Master-Key Sheet (one handwritten page, kept apart from the binder), tell two people where the binder is, and review it once a year in 30 minutes.

What's inside

16 short sections: who to call, your money and bills, your phone and accounts, insurance, the home, the children and pets, your medical details, and your wishes.

It organizes information and wishes. It is not a will and doesn't replace one: the Lawyer-Ready section shows the five things only a lawyer can do, and what to bring to that appointment.

The Weekend Guarantee

Do the 90-minute Quick Start this weekend. If your family still wouldn't know who to call, where your accounts and policies are, and how to get into your phone, email us within 60 days and we'll refund every cent. Keep the binder.

Haven't started yet, or stuck on a page? Write to Brian: he answers every email himself, and he'll help you finish it, one step at a time.

And if it just isn't for you: same 60 days, no questions asked.

A page of the Money & Income section, filled in for the fictional Rivera family

You finish it, instead of putting it off again

Most people stall on a blank page. Here, every field says what to write and where to find it, and the Guide shows each section filled in for a fictional family. Bank names and the last 4 digits are enough: no balances, no full account numbers.

A page of the 90-Minute Quick Start: each step with a time and a checkbox

Your family is better off by tonight

The Quick Start puts the 12 things that matter most in order, with a time for each: who to call first, how to get into your phone, where the money and the insurance are. Ninety minutes, and the hardest part is done. The rest takes about two mornings.

The first page of the Password Handover Method: how it works, in four rules

The right people can get in, safely

Your family won't be stuck in front of a locked phone. The Password Handover Method sets up the emergency access already built into your phone and password manager, for the people you choose. Every step says exactly where to tap: no tech experience needed. The few master keys go on one sealed sheet, kept apart from the binder.

The will is the easy part

A will says who gets what. It doesn't say where anything is. That's the part families spend a year on.

$500–$1,500

What a lawyer typically charges to write a simple will. A living trust starts around $2,000.

12.5 months

How long families spend, on average, settling a loved one's money matters: finding the documents, the accounts and the assets.

With only a will

The bank asks for a statement, and nobody knows which bank, or which drawer.

With the binder next to it

Every account on one page: which bank, what it's for, and where the paperwork is.

With only a will

The phone stays locked, and the reset code goes to that same phone.

With the binder next to it

A legacy contact set up on the phone, one tap at a time. No passwords written down.

With only a will

A life insurance policy nobody knew about turns up months later, or never.

With the binder next to it

Every policy on one page: who it's with, how it's paid, what the letters look like.

Keep your will: the binder isn't one, and it isn't legal advice. Its Lawyer-Ready section lists what to ask your lawyer.

Common questions before you order

Is this a printed product?

No, it's a download. You get the binder as a PDF to print (US Letter or A4), a large-print edition, a fillable PDF you can type into, and a spreadsheet for Excel or Google Sheets. Your download buttons appear as soon as you've paid.

I already have a will. Do I still need this?

Yes. Your will says who gets what. It doesn't say where anything is: which bank, which policy, how to get into your phone, who to call first. The binder is the map that sits next to your will. Its Lawyer-Ready section lists what to check with your lawyer.

We're not wealthy. Is this for us?

Yes. It records where things are, so it helps as much with one bank account as with ten. A checking account, a small life policy, a car, a phone and the bills that must keep being paid are exactly what families get stuck on. You only fill in what applies to you.

Is my information safe?

The binder is a file on your computer, or a printed binder at home. We never see what you write in it. It never asks for passwords or full account numbers: only the last 4 digits and where the paperwork is. Keep it somewhere safe and tell two people where it is.

What if a burglar finds it?

They'd find a list of bank names and phone numbers, and nothing that opens an account. The binder never holds a password, PIN or full account number. Those go through the Password Handover Method: emergency access and legacy contacts set up with each company, plus one sealed sheet you keep apart from the binder.

Won't it be out of date in a year?

Not if you look at it once a year. The Annual Review is a 30-minute checklist for that, with the date written on the cover. Most entries don't change: where the will is, who to call, what you want. Update the few that do.

Why pay when there are free templates?

A blank form is easy to find and easy to give up on. Ours shows every page already filled in for a sample family, so you always know what to write, and the 90-minute Quick Start gets the parts that matter most done first.

I already use a password manager. Do I need this?

Keep it: the binder works with it. The Password Handover Method walks you through turning on its emergency access and your phone's legacy contact. A password manager doesn't hold where the will is, which policies you have, who to call, or what you want for your funeral. The binder does.

Is this legal advice? Is it a will?

No. It organizes information and wishes. It doesn't replace a will, a power of attorney or a healthcare directive, and nothing in it is legally binding. The Lawyer-Ready section explains the five things to ask a lawyer about.

I'm not good with technology. Can I do this?

Yes. Print it and fill it in with a pen. Every section says what to write and where to find it, in big, clear type. The phone and password steps are written one tap at a time.

Do I need to print it?

No. Use the fillable PDF or the spreadsheet if you prefer. Many people print it anyway, because a paper binder is easy for family to find and open. One page should be on paper: the Master-Key Sheet. You write it by hand and never type it into a computer.

How long does it really take?

The Quick Start takes about 90 minutes. The whole binder takes about 6 hours: two mornings.

It looks like a lot. What if I don't finish?

Start with the 90-minute Quick Start: the steps that protect your family most. Skip any section that doesn't apply, and write "missing" for anything you don't have on hand. After you order, short emails walk you through it a few steps at a time. And if you get stuck, write to Brian: he answers every email himself and will help you finish. The Weekend Guarantee covers you too: do the Quick Start, and if your family still wouldn't know who to call, where things are and how to get into your phone, you get a full refund.

Will filling it in feel heavy?

Most of it is practical: accounts, bills, contacts, where the papers are. The personal parts, like funeral wishes and letters, come at the end, and you can skip them. Start with the Quick Start: it's mostly names, numbers and where things are kept.

I'm single, or I don't have children. Is this for me?

Yes. If you're ill or gone, someone still has to deal with things: a sibling, a friend, a niece, your executor. Skip the couple's and children's pages. The rest tells that person where everything is and who to call.

Where should I keep it?

Somewhere at home that two people know about, like a drawer or a shelf. Keep the sealed Master-Key Sheet apart from it, for example in a safe or with someone you trust. If you use the fillable PDF, keep a copy where your family can reach it, and tell them where.

Do we need one each?

No. One binder covers a household. The Couple's Edition, in the Complete bundle, has the shared sections once and the personal ones twice, one for each of you. Buying for a parent or a sibling too? You can add a gift copy at checkout.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. The wording is country-neutral, with notes for the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe where the names of things differ. It comes in US Letter and A4.

What if I don't like it?

Ask for a full refund within 60 days of your order, no questions asked: email us, or contact ClickBank at clkbank.com. The Weekend Guarantee is on top of that: do the Quick Start, and if your family still wouldn't know who to call, where your accounts and policies are, and how to get into your phone, you get every cent back. Keep the binder.
