Who we are
This site sells The Weekend Family Binder, a digital product. In this policy, "we" means Hearthbook, the seller of The Weekend Family Binder. You can reach us at support@gethearthbook.com.
When you buy
Checkout is run by our payment processor. It collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information, and handles your payment under its own privacy policy. We don't see or store your card number.
Our payment processor shares with us your name, email address, what you bought and when, so we can deliver your files and help you with your order.
When you ask for the free sample
We keep the first name and email address you enter, and email you the sample, then a few emails about organizing your family's information and about the product. We stop the emails about the product if you buy it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click stops them.
These emails are sent by our email provider, Resend, and the list is stored with our database provider, Upstash. We also send Meta a sign-up event with your email address in hashed (scrambled) form, so we can measure which ads bring sign-ups.
What you write in the binder
The binder is a file on your own device, or a printed binder in your home. We never receive, see or store anything you write in it.
When you browse this site
We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. They record events such as page views, clicks on the buy button and completed purchases.
To do this, the site sets cookies (_fbp, _fbc, and sq_fbclid when you arrive from a Meta ad), kept for up to 90 days, and sq_vid, a random visitor ID kept for up to a year that contains nothing about you. With each event, Meta also receives your IP address, browser details and that visitor ID. For purchases, we also send Meta your email address, the name and billing city, state, postcode and country you entered at checkout, and your customer ID, all in hashed (scrambled) form, so Meta can match the sale to an ad without us sending the details themselves.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, to run and secure the site.
How we use your information
To deliver what you bought, answer your emails, process refunds and subscriptions, and measure which ads work. We don't sell your information.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. You can unsubscribe from our emails with the link at the bottom of each one.
To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email support@gethearthbook.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
